Venture Creation Lab: Your Own Tech Start Up

The VCL is an expert-led programme which allows you to design and develop a technology business opportunity over 2 semesters. For international students, this could potentially secure you a Graduate Entrepreneur visa (also called the Post Study Work visa – PSW for short – allowing you to stay back in the UK for two years after you’ve successfully completed your MBA or MSc with York St John University).

Many employers use internships and placements to encourage you to consider them as an option after graduating. They are also a way for you to apply the knowledge and skills you have developed during your degree. You can gain industry experience through:

Your Placement Adviser will support you during your placement and you will remain a student with access to all the university’s services and support. Your successful placement will be included on your degree certificate.
